Sarah Kushner Lic. Ac, Dipl. Ac. MAOM
Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, with a minor in women’s studies in 1998 from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (formerly North Adams State College). Sarah anticipated continuing her education in psychology and eventually working as a therapist. However, the surge in giving prescription medications as primary treatment left Sarah feeling discouraged and limited. Sarah began to realize she wanted a more natural approach to treatment, thereby lessening harmful side-effects, and began to look into acupuncture and herbal medicine. Even though Sarah has a fond appreciation for psychology and the powerful effects cognitive and behavioral therapy can have, she realized for her acupuncture and herbal medicine was what she truly wanted to study. She enrolled in school at the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) and graduated with a Mater’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002. Sarah looks forward to incorporating all her studies, psychology, women’s studies, acupuncture and herbal medicine into her practice treating patients naturally so their mind and body can begin healing without side-effects. Sarah is an experienced practitioner and lived and ran her own successful acupuncture business for thirteen (13) years in Nashua, New Hampshire. Sarah developed a passion for studying and treating women’s health issues including fertility, menopause and menstraul complaints. Sarah also believes that acupuncture and herbal medicine play a key role in one’s overall health and outlook in life. Sarah looks forward to bringing her expertise and experience to Delaware.
Sarah lives with her son Oliver and loves to cook, garden and has a true passion for fitness and nutrition.
